Jamie has created a reputation as one of the leading brass players of his generation, performing both nationally and internationally as a soloist and within ensembles.

Jamie is currently the principal cornet of the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band, with highlights being sold out performances of 'Brassed Off: Live!' at the Royal Albert Hall.  He is also a founding member of the A4 Brass Quartet, a multi-award winning chamber music group who have created a new stage for brass chamber music.

Jamie has performed in Australia, Japan, Uganda and extensively throughout Europe, playing with some of the worlds best ensembles. 

His performing quality has resulted in him being made an Associate Member of the Royal Northern College of Music, the place that he studied.

Jamie is currently working to develop mouthpieces with Mercer and Barker, where he has released the MB4-JS. He is also a performing artist for Geneva musical instruments, playing exclusively on the Oldroyd Cardinal in Silver.
